The survivors would spend years mourning their loved ones, homes and livelihoods, while rebuilding their lives from the ruins. Twenty years on, this 4-part documentary series revisits the tsunami-stricken communities to explore the enduring impact of the disaster. Through personal stories from survivors, heroes, and politicians across Asia, the film explores the incredible resilience and humanity that emerged in the wake of the disaster.
As survivors confront their memories of the tragedy, and their arduous journey pushing against the tide towards recovery, they reflect on the waves of change that have shaped their lives over the past two decades.
