About the show:

In a world beset by conflicts, the work of peacemakers has never been more important or more demanding. But the whole process of negotiating for peace remains mostly hidden from public view and not many know about the complexities and the challenges.

Around Asia, several historic peace deals have been made over the decades. What are the conflicts that have brought out the peacemakers?  Who are the diplomats, conflict resolution experts, civil society groups, NGOs who have stepped up to be mediators and what did it take for them to succeed?

This 3-part series looks at conflicts in Nepal, Mindanao and Aceh.  And through the eyes of the different parties, we learn more about the moves and countermoves, the serendipity and carefully planned strategies that led to peace.
