Volunteering improves quality of life for seniors: Study

A study by Nanyang Technological University and Duke-NUS Medical School has revealed that seniors can lead better lives by becoming volunteers. It found that older Singaporeans who volunteer regularly not only have better control of their lives, but also feel more supported by the people around them. Dawn Tan speaks to Associate Professor Rahul Malhotra from the Centre for Ageing Research and Education at Duke-NUS Medical School who supervised the study, as well as volunteer Daphne Lee.
