Teenagers spend almost 8.5 hours a day glued to screens: IPS survey
A new survey has revealed that teenagers are spending almost 8.5 hours a day on screens, with stress playing a significant role. Over half of those surveyed admitted to using their devices to cope or procrastinate. 64% of teens felt that their screen time is just right, while only 28% considered it excessive. However, over 40% of parents felt that their teenagers are spending too much time on their devices. Research has also shown that prolonged screen time, especially on social media, is closely linked to increased feelings of isolation and disconnection. Alexandra Anand reports.
