Tourist revenue from the upcoming World Aquatics and World Aquatics Masters Championships is expected to hit S$60 million. Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Culture, Community and Youth Eric Chua gave this update in response to parliamentary questions on the sporting events taking place in July. Some 40,000 international visitors are expected to attend major aquatic events held in Singapore later this year. In the lead-up to the main event, some 350,000 Singaporeans will be able to make a splash at community activities organised on the sidelines. Nadine Yeam reports.
