Singapore to ease restrictions on unmanned aircraft from Feb 14
Drone operators in Singapore said upcoming regulatory changes will help cut costs. One firm said the move by the aviation authority addresses issues that commercial operators have faced for years. From Feb 14, the limit on the number of aircraft weighing above 250g that a company or individual can register will be removed. Operators can also fly their aircraft to 400ft above sea level on weekdays without special permission. Operator permit holders will also be able to apply for flight clearance by using a mobile app. Nicolas Ng reports.
