SIA, Scoot join global data platform to avoid flight turbulence
Singapore Airlines (SIA) and Scoot have joined Turbulence Aware, a network for quicker sharing of turbulence encounters among the members. SIA says this enables pilots to plan flight paths to avoid these rough-weather areas. With more than 25 airlines now on the platform, CNA's Syahida Othman asks Phil Seymour, President of IBA, why airlines are slow in joining the scheme which was launched back in 2018.
