People will look to Southeast Asia as Trump exerts pressure on China: Simon Tay

There has been no easing in global trade tensions given tariffs and uncertain alliances, presenting Southeast Asia with both challenges and opportunities. Singapore, as a global trade and financial hub, is adapting by doubling down on business as a port and logistics hub. Roland Lim caught up with Simon Tay, Chairman of the Singapore Institute of International Affairs, an independent think tank, on the sidelines of Singapore's Maritime Week. He asked Mr Tay for his views on the economic and security outlook for Southeast Asia.
