NTUC to run three more migrant worker recreation centres from August

02:13 Min

The National Trades Union Congress will take over three more recreation centres for migrant workers from August. It will manage four out of a total of nine. The Manpower Ministry said NTUC was chosen as it has a good grasp of migrant workers' needs. It added that it learnt how important such centres were during the COVID-19 pandemic. They were used as recovery facilities and vaccination centres. Such centres are now designed to be quickly repurposed if needed. MOM will also be progressively upgrading other RCs around the island, starting with Penjuru next year.
