More than 3,000 jobs to be added in Singapore's public transport sector over next few years
There will be over 3,000 job openings — including roles such as technicians and engineers — in Singapore's rail and bus sectors over the next few years. Speaking at the new Punggol Coast Bus Interchange, Transport Minister Chee Hong Tat said the workforce must also be ready to support the move towards electrification of buses. Punggol Coast Bus Interchange will launch with two services. There will also be a direct service to the city during peak periods. The interchange can support up to 10 services in the future.
