Junior college admission criteria to change from L1R5 to L1R4 in 2028

02:41 Min

From 2028, Students taking O-Levels keen on a junior college education will soon be assessed on just five subjects instead of six. With the move, students must attain an aggregate score of 16 or less to qualify for JC, instead of 20 in the past. They can also opt to take fewer subjects. The Education Ministry said this is to reduce an overemphasis on grades and moves towards a holistic development. Nikhil Khattar reports.
