Indian PM Modi visits Kashmir for the first time since region's autonomy revoked
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made his first visit to Indian-administered Kashmir since the disputed region's semi-autonomous status was revoked in 2019. This comes ahead of national elections due in the coming months. Mr Modi has unveiled a slew of development projects worth more than $770 million. The ruling BJP also claimed that New Delhi's direct rule of Kashmir has ushered in a new era of "peace and development". Priyata Brajabasi reports from New Delhi.
