Global community calls for restraint from Israel after Iranian attack

The global community has called for restraint, after Iran launched its first direct attack on Israel over the weekend, in response to Tel Aviv's deadly airstrike on an Iranian consulate in Syria. The US has said it does not seek escalation and will not take part in any Israeli response towards Iran. Tehran's foreign minister has hit back at accusations that the country stoked regional conflict, telling Western nations to "blame themselves" for not taking enough action against Israel's war crimes in Gaza.
