Chinese President Xi, Indian PM Modi meeting on sidelines of BRICS summit
Russian President Vladimir Putin says the formation of a "multipolar world order" is in progress at the opening of the three-day BRICS summit in Kazan. Mr Putin also highlighted that more than 30 countries are keen to join the bloc of emerging economies, with the group planning to discuss its expansion. Meanwhile, the focus right now is a bilateral meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. These are their first talks since 2020, when clashes along their disputed Himalayan border strained ties. Ishan Garg reports.
