Asian countries to hold trade negotiations with US as tariffs kick in

Countries in Asia are making concerted efforts to talk the US into making concessions, as tariffs kicked in today. Close US allies and major trading partners — Japan and South Korea — have scheduled talks with the Trump administration. Meanwhile, ASEAN secretary-general Kao Kim Hourn has urged the regional bloc to act boldly to increase economic integration. He was speaking ahead of a meeting of ASEAN economic and finance ministers. Melissa Goh reports from Kuala Lumpur.
