25% increase in allied health professionals in Singapore from 2019 to 2023

Singapore has been able to grow its pool of allied health professionals -- such as speech therapists and radiographers -- through better rewards and career development plans. Addressing questions on how to retain talent, Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Health Rahayu Mahzam said the government has been engaging with these workers to understand their challenges. The number of allied health professionals in Singapore has jumped 25% since 2019 to about 7,500 in 2023.
