24/7 emergency response team attended to 307 domestic violence cases since its launch in April 2023
From April 2023 to July 2024, 307 cases of domestic violence have been attended to by a round-the-clock emergency response team since it was first set up. Most of the cases involved spousal violence. The Social and Family Development Ministry said this underscores the need for immediate action when addressing high-risk cases. Mr Martin Chok, Care Corner Singapore's deputy director of family and community service, shared more on how the social workers are helping victims.
