HDB to pilot open-concept 'white flats' in Kallang-Whampoa BTO launch in October
The Housing Development Board is giving homebuyers more room to design their own living spaces. It's introducing a new customisable type of flat in October's Build-To-Order project launch in Kallang-Whampoa. The flats will come without built-in internal walls that separate the living and bedroom spaces. Announcing this at the Pre-U seminar attended by students and educators, National Development Minister Desmond Lee said this flat type may appeal to young couples who wish to have an open-space concept.
