SINGAPORE: Collectible Year of the Dragon red packets will be available at 43 participating museums, heritage institutions and galleries this Chinese New Year season, with each venue offering a unique design.
The National Heritage Board (NHB) said on Tuesday (Jan 9) that visitors will be able to collect the red packets during its Museum Roundtable Lunar New Year Hongbao Campaign from Jan 12 to Feb 9. Chinese New Year falls on Feb 10 and 11.
Each visitor is limited to one set, comprising eight red packets, each and redemption is while stocks last.
The Museum Roundtable is a collective of more than 60 public and private museums and heritage galleries, and established by the NHB in 1996 to promote a museum-going culture in Singapore.
This is the 10th time that NHB has run this campaign. Last year, the board made Year of the Rabbit red packets available at 39 participating venues.

Mr Goh Chour Thong, director of international and museum relations at NHB, said the board has "truly enjoyed 10 years of partnering with Museum Roundtable members for the Hongbao Campaign, and working with them to adapt the design of the Chinese zodiac animal for the year to reflect each of their unique characteristics".
"We are very encouraged that the hongbaos as well as the limited collectors' editions have continued to be popular with the public and sought after by collectors, and helped grow visitorship and appreciation of the offerings at each of the participating Museum Roundtable members," he added.
Two online giveaways will also be held on the I Love Museums Facebook page, with a collector’s box set and a full set of the red packets up for grabs.
