Experts are saying that AI heralds a new era in meteorology because of its ability to sift through what are immense data sets - decades of complicated weather patterns (so) machines are complementing what meteorologist do.
Liling Tan on the limits of AI:
AI is only as good as the person who employs it, (and) as reliable as the datasets it draws from. The lack of credible and precise data, for example, is stymieing AI-based weather forecasting efforts in India.
